Ideal for people suffering from aches, pains and joint stiffness, chiropractic is becoming an increasingly popular means of easing musculoskeletal tension and improving the health of the nervous system. Joints can become misaligned due to incorrect lifting, sporting accidents, a fall, or sustained poor posture. Without correction, the sufferer can experience pain, numbness, pins and needles, or restricted mobility.

McTimoney Chiropractic is a non-invasive but highly effective technique, comprising quick, light adjustments that allow the body to heal itself, resulting in better mobility and general wellbeing.  This makes it suitable for people of all ages, from small babies to the elderly.

How is McTimoney Chiropractic Different to regular Chiropractic?

If you’re suffering from back pain, joint pain or problems with your posture, you may be looking for complementary support to help rehabilitate your joints and to support the relief from pain.  Perhaps you’ve heard that chiropractic can be quite invasive, with lots of bone clicking and manipulation.  However, McTimoney Chiropractic is very different, and involves much gentler techniques.  Mark Knowles is a highly experienced practitioner, who combines gentle realignment by using McTimonney techniques alongside other highly skilled methods he has developed over his many years of experience.

Some of the symptoms that Chiropractic has been found beneficial for include:

Mark Knowles’ Journey to becoming a Chiropractor in Norwich

With a background in the construction industry Mark Knowles learnt first-hand about the stresses and strains that the human body can undergo. His personal experiences contributed to his desire to study to become a Chiropractor, and he is now a full-time therapist dedicated to the McTimoney method.  This gentle non-invasive technique advocates a holistic approach to health care and problems associated with the musculoskeletal system. During an initial consultation all the joints of the body are assessed and adjusted where necessary, providing the testing procedure indicates it is safe to do so.

Mark holds a BSc (Hons) in McTimoney Chiropractic, ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage, is Registered with The General Chiropractic Council (which qualifies him as a practitioner for most insurance policies) and is a Member of The McTimoney Chiropractic Association.
