More about Norfolk based Acupuncturist Alison Courtney

Having originally trained as a nurse before moving in to midwifery,  Alison has a whole host of skills which she still uses in her work as an acupuncturist.  As Alison explains:  “I enjoy being an acupuncturist and offering help for the many conditions that affect people physically and emotionally.  I have never regretted steadily leaving one system of medicine and going into another.  I strongly feel that for most of my clients their lives are better for it and the side effect often found from acupuncture is that people feel calmer, sleep better and feel better in themselves. This helps us to manage pain and illness better.  And, as a former midwife, I can relate to the issues and dilemmas that arise for pregnant women, one of my specialist areas.” For Alison the client comes first and she considers it important to use the best qualities of any medicine and treatment approach whether alone or combined.
