The Ohana Breathing Program is a workshop that teaches longevity breathing, sometimes described as whole-body breathing. Ran by our inspiring Qigong teacher Deniz Paradot.
The next workshop is Sunday 30th September from 10am – 5pm. £50. Book early! Deniz’ workshops are extremely popular and sell out quickly.
Deniz is also now running The Breathing Room, every Tuesday at 10:30am – 11:30am. A class to unwind, relax and learn how to breathe. More details here.
Breathing is at the heart of Taoist arts and other Eastern practices, such as Qigong, yoga and Buddhist meditation. Whole-body breathing can make you feel more alive, may help to improve your health and make your body conscious, bringing real value to your quality of life.
Do you know how to breathe?
Simply breathing better can make a huge difference to your mental state and overall health. It may seem ridiculous, but the majority of people don’t know how to breathe properly and subsequently suffer from limited oxygen to their brains. How good does it feel to take a deep restorative breath? Even just sighing can feel great.
There is a well known classic Taoist phrase: “the wise man breathes from his heels.” We will use this saying to explore:
- The Physiology of Whole-body Breathing
- Going Deeper than the Physical Body
- Opening the Energy Channels of Your Body
If you are serious about qigong, yoga, meditation or your health in general, breathing should be at the core of each and every practice.
In this one day workshop I’ll guide you through the process, so eventually you can be a wise person, breathing from your heels too. On completion of the workshop you will be given a personal program to follow in your own time. It will allow you to take what you have learnt and over time slowly develop your breathing until you can breathe from your heels!
Cost -
£50 – including workshop materials, homemade vegetarian light bites and nutritious snacks to give you the necessary energy levels throughout the day, accompanied with specifically selected Chinese teas to enhance your enjoyment and experience.
